What data NaarDeMatch processes, why, on what legal basis, and how to have it deleted.

Who is responsible

Two roles, keep them apart
This distinction decides who you need to talk to.
Did you buy a ticket from a club? Then that club is the controller for your data and NaarDeMatch is only a processor — we handle that data on the club’s instructions and never for our own purposes. You will find the club’s policy on its own ticket page, and questions about your ticket data go to the club itself.
This policy covers the data we are responsible for: visitors to https://naardematch.be, clubs requesting a trial environment, and clubs we approach ourselves.
What we process, and why
1. Your visit to this website
If you consent, we measure which pages you view. That tells us where clubs get stuck in our explanations. Without consent we measure nothing and the site works exactly the same.
- Data: pages visited, timestamp, referring link, browser type and a cookie identifier. If you arrived through a link in one of our emails, this visit can be linked to your contact record.
- Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR and art. 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act). You withdraw it at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Separately, our email tool sees whether you opened one of our emails or clicked in it. That runs on its own servers, not through a cookie on this site, and falls under the communication follow-up described below.
2. Your trial request
If you fill in the signup form, we process your name, email address, club name, sport, federation, number of teams, chosen web address, VAT number if given, and your message.
- What for: handling your request, creating your club environment, and emailing you afterwards about setting up and using NaarDeMatch.
- Legal basis: performance of, or preparation for, our contract with your club (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Note: once you click the confirmation link in your email, your address is stored in our email tool so we can send you that follow-up. Every email carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the commercial mail; messages needed to keep your environment working continue for as long as you are a customer.
- We verify your VAT number through VIES, the European Commission’s database.
3. Clubs we approach ourselves
We look up sports clubs in public sources — club websites and federation member lists — and email them about NaarDeMatch.
- Data: club name, general email address, sport, federation, region.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in reaching clubs for whom this product is relevant (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Where we draw the line: we email impersonal addresses of clubs as legal entities
(
info@,secretariaat@), never the private or name-bearing address of a board member. That is precisely the exemption the Belgian Code of Economic Law provides for this, on condition that you can object — and you always can, through the unsubscribe link in every email or simply by replying to it. - We do not buy address lists.
4. Protecting our forms
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam and bots. Cloudflare processes your IP address and signals about your browser for this. It is technically necessary in order to offer the form at all, and therefore does not require your consent.
Cookies
This site sets no cookie whatsoever until you consent. There are no strictly necessary
cookies: your choice itself is kept in your browser’s local storage (ndm-consent) rather
than in a cookie, so nothing travels with every request.
If you consent, the Brevo tracker sets exactly one cookie:

Browsers with built-in tracking protection shorten that themselves: Safari caps JavaScript-set cookies at 7 days. The retention above is a maximum, not a promise.
If you refuse, or withdraw your consent later, we delete that cookie and reload the page so that measurement stops immediately.
Who else sees your data
We never resell your data. We work with these processors:

Cloudflare is the only processor outside the EU. All your other data — hosting, database, email and mailings — stays within the European Economic Area.
How long we keep data

Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where you gave consent, you withdraw it at any time — without retroactive effect on what we did before.
Email info@naardematch.be. We reply within 30 days. For a deletion request, “delete my data” is enough; we ask for nothing beyond what we need to carry it out.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
Changes
If we adapt this policy, the date at the top changes. If the purposes you consented to change, we ask again rather than assuming your old yes still covers them.
